yep totally understand....I remember when my nieces/nephews were just grade schoolers...the oldest is now 30!

.... I also remember meeting my (now) hubby for the first time---1986...now THAT'S scary..../shiver

oy...lets get off memory lane.

want d'ya want for xmas this year? (and do you think you will get it)...I am making home-made cinnamon rolls for my hubby (though neither of us need any extra calories)...I have a recipe I learned waaaaay back when I took my first cooking class in the quad cities at the local comm college....and I still have the original copy of it (that's amazing!)....that was a great class, learned tons of great bread recipes (and where we started down the dark path to overweight!).

rr...yeah...my oldest brother got married in 76 (after he finished grad school) and my middle brother was married in 75---I remember both of these....and my oldest nephew was born in 81, yep a lonnnnnnnnng time ago.

we are dinosaurs rr!

well I finished getting my packages ready to mail out today--now to take them over to the long line at the post office..... I certainly hope they dont get rid of saturdays at the post office--its about the only time I know I can get stuff.

well did my bit at the post office--bought tons of stamps for my xmas cards (yes I MAIL xmas cards still--lots of the people on my list dont even have a computer!!).

there was no line today---though every year when I send my foreign packages I have to fill out different paper work--it confounds the postal employee that we have to fill out so much when people who ship though things like ebay only have to fill a one page document out (the one we filled out is like 6-7pages).

hubby has tomorrow off as well....but we took him to the dermatologist yesterday to have some minor ........work

done....we had plans but I think just staying warm under the blankets has the highest priorites for then

and I am not quite as old as dirt RR!....though I seem to remember dirt's first birthday----

Snowed last night. Probably about 1/2 an inch. Now I have to go clear my car off before driving into work.

well hubby's computer is back up and running (yet again)...spent most of the last 5 days working on that soooooo my xmas cards...

I have the list (with correct addys) but minus the 3 I had to mail overseas....

but the shopping is all over (for me at least)...got the last gc's in the mail so we are ready for the holiday......

cant believe this year is almost over....its been a pretty bad year so I cant say I am unhappy its almost over....but I just cant believe its gone by soooooo fast...........

Getting lots of rain here as well. Got a day off today and we took the opportunity to go visit a nice neighborhood with all the lights up. One of the houses has a water fountain and lights tied to music, its always a neat show.

Loving Saints Row the Third right now. It's exactly what I expected and wanted: a goofy, over the top sandbox with me being able to go on a rampage. Tons of fun, and picked it up for free, so super win!

Around here we have the Festival of Lights every year after Thanksgiving. It stays up until a bit after Christmas. It is pretty neat to go see. Haven't been in years though.

I want snow, not warm weather...
